Odi's astoundingly incomplete notes

Gentoo has released version 1.6 of the xorg-server to the general public. This is a non-trivial upgrade. Make sure to follow the upgrade guide. You will also need to manually re-emerge your xorg drivers (xf86-video-* etc.) as revdep-rebuild can't detect that they break.

The move to 1.6 will finally enable us to play around with kernel mode setting (KMS) through GEM.
