And because mobile pictures are so nice and crappy, here is another one from last week in the Venna de Vino in Volterra, Italy. It's the local traditional soup made from bread and vegetables. Here it comes with Salsiccia (the local saussage) on a slice of bread.

I don't receive many letters any more, of course because of widespread use of email. Especially rare are the handwritten ones. In fact only my grandparents still write me a handwritten card every year for my birthday. Which is very nice!Today I had a handwritten thank-you card in my letterbox. And it came directly from Winnipeg, Canada. It's from Judy thanking me for helping out during the festivities of the 75th anniversery of the Our Chalet in Adelboden.

Hazienda Monasterio
Ivan had given me a bottle of 1998 Hazienda Monasterio Reserva Especial a long time ago for birthday. Tonight we drank it with an appropriate dish: Blood- and liver sausages. You get them fresh from a butcher around the corner every Monday at this time of year. This bottle was the best wine I had in ages. Extremely tasty and still smooth.

One more time in the Casa Bar
The Casa Bar is definitely a place where you can end up any time and you always get the a great live concert. This time Ivan, this bastard, even managed to get a dance with the singer!
What was the name of this band? I think I might have seen them in August of 06. Do you have any more photos?

yeah, I saw these guys last August with the Nigerian singer.. they were really great. I think they will play there again with her in September of this year. Cheers Mate.
I won the bets
Even though the worldcup is not over yet, I have already won our small office bet. I got 3 out 4 semi-finals teams right: Portugal, Germany and Italy. Nobody got the champion right (many tipped on Germany) so I was lucky. I will choose an authentic Italian team jersey as my prize - whether they win or not.
